This reimagined archive floral has a retro charm and captivating, almost geometric feel, as the pattern creates gently undulating stripes across the wall. The abundant leaves and blooming flowers are surface printed for a sumptuous, matt ink coverage and beautiful painterly effect. Harmonious hues of blue, green and burnt orange contrast against the dark midnight blue background of this tantalizing Forest colourway.

A transitional piece, this wonderfully abundant pattern borrows elements from the Arts and Crafts Movement's preference for blending botanical studies into home furnishings, as well as the opulent patterns of the Art Deco era. Surface printing began in 1838 and the delicate textured effect crafted as the rollers lay down ink, known as “treeing”, found within the floral and leaf shapes is completely unique to this heritage printing process.
