Stunning in its grandeur, Moor Park Mural was adapted from a set of hand-painted Chinese wallpapers that once adorned a room at Moor Park, Hertfordshire, and are now part of the V&A's national wallpaper collection. Each element of the scene was carefully reinterpreted from the historic wallpaper, refreshing the original, whilst at the same time retaining the character and true charm that had first attracted the 1838 team.

In magnificent Prussian Blue like the original archive wall panel, the rich, blue background is adorned with a subtle, self-coloured chinoiserie pattern.

Available in 2 colours: Prussian Blue and Oyster

One roll contains 4 panels (A, B, C & D) for the full design. The design can be repeated out to cover further walls by using another roll in the same order (A B C D) until the required area is papered. Depending upon the wall height, the panel can be trimmed at the top, bottom or both to create the desired scene.

Hand-painted Chinese wallpapers began to appear in Europe in the late 17th century and by the 18th century it became fashionable for grand European homes to feature at least one room decorated with authentic or imitation Chinese wallpaper. Moor Park, a stately home with 38 bedrooms, exemplified the trend in opulent interior design.
