We especially love the wallpapered ceiling in Stratus sage green!

Inspired by a watercolour from the museum’s collection and named after the original artist Charlotte Horne Spiers, a remarkable artist whose designs spanned textiles, wallpapers and ceramics in the late 1800s.

The magnificent Palmette wallpaper is surface printed; a wonderful heritage technique that brings another level of character and depth to the wallpaper.
Surface printing was pioneered in 1838 and is continued in our Lancashire factory on traditional machines over a century old. The sumptuously thick ink coverage and beautiful hand-painted effect are the perfect way to recreate the richness and artistry of the original design from the V&A archive.
